Day 1: Chest & Back
Hey;
Today I started my 90days of pain. On Day 1, I haven’t started well with the nutrition and I know this is going to be hard on myself to cut back on the junk and eat more healthy. Today I started of eating a chocolate bar for late morning breakfast. A few hours later I had a small portion of Tuna-Mayonaise Pasta. Mayonaise isn’t the best thing for me to be having as I wish to shead some-weight but as a little compensation I did use light mayonaise hehe. Anyway in the late afternoon after I gave my last meal a chance to settle I started Chest & Back.
I took my time with this DVD as you have 12 exercises and you have to do it twice. Prior to P90X, I have been working on my pressups to make sure I can make 10-12 pressups on multiple occasions with different styles. For the pressups on the first round I took my time and worked up to the burn, which in most cases was between 8-12. For the pullup sections I use some exercise bands that I bought from Agilo on Ebay. I will be using the ultra-strength band throughout P90X as I feel this will give me the best workout whilst acheiving a good amount of reps. I took my time and repositioned myself a few times with the bands to try get the maximum resistance. Although these bands work great and you can feel the burn after 12-15 reps once at the maximum resistance, I feel I will have to head to my gym in order to use the pullup equipment there in order to get results in the future.
For the weights again I took my time and used part 1 to work out the weights I would need in order to reach the required amount of reps (10-12) but also making sure that I get the burn in the final 3 but not to the point where I am comprimising the quality of the rep. I was then able to alter the weight for the next round.
I took notes of how many reps I targetted for and how many I actually did and also notes of the weights I was using. I will post them also in the coming days.
To complete the day, I was supposed to do Abs_RipperX. There is 12 exercises with 25reps each to do. I was able to do the first 4 to the maximum reps, but for following ones the amount of reps were decreasing even with little breaks. This is an area already that I need to focus on to make sure I keep doing the reps.
Ok so this is Day 1, tomorrow is Day 2 and its Plyometrics. As I need more space to do this, I’ll be moving downstairs into our sunlouge in order to complete it. In the future I’ll be doing this at the gym as I have now got all 12 DVD’s loaded up onto my iPhone.
Thanks for reading. Feel free to leave comments or e-mail me.
Ryan.

Are you still doing P90X? I don’t see any new posts talking about your progress.
